Steve Hurte is senior pastor of Temple Baptist Church in Anderson, SC (in the Greenville metro area).  He is a songwriter, evangelist, author, musician, and cofounder of both Victory Baptist Bible College (in North Augusta, SC) as well as, cofounder and Chancellor of Carolina Bible College.  Additionally, he is the author of:

• “Biblical Solutions for Handling Difficult People”
• “Ten Mistakes A Young Preacher Should Avoid”

Steve’s wife, Brenda:

• Has been inducted into the SC Gospel Music Hall of Fame. 
• She is both a Grammy and Dove award nominee.
• Her group, The Ruppes, holds the honor of being the first female group in Southern Gospel music to have a #1 song.
• And her group is featured on various Gaither Homecoming videos.

Steve and Brenda’s children are musicians, singers, and evangelists, consisting of:

• Brent and Katie Carr, of the gospel group, The Carr Family (Brent is an evangelist, as well as, founder of Carolina Bible College)
• CT and Becky Townsend (CT is both pastor and evangelist, and founder of the “Arise” Youth Conference, which draws thousands every summer, and the renown Burlington Revival)
• Kim, Heather, and Valerie, also known as “Sisters” have been awarded "Female Group of the Year" 10 times, and have been nominated for a Dove Award, as well. They are featured on various Gaither Homecoming videos. 

Steve and his family are known for having a burning desire is to see more people brought to  salvation, through the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, and to be a light in these dark days.
