What is a
Prayer Team?
A Prayer Team is typically made up of eight to fourteen people who meet regularly during the week to share about their lives and support one another. Each group has a leader. Groups meet in a number of different locations around Anderson, including homes, restaurants, and work places, but typically most meet at the church. Most groups meet weekly on Wednesday nights, but some meet on other days. Our goal is to accommodate the different needs of those in our church by offering a variety of options.
Where two or three are gathered
One way we define success at Temple Baptist Church is by how effectively our ministries move people from our large worship services into our Prayer Teams.
At Temple, a Prayer Team is the best place for sustained life change to occur. Each group may be a little different, but the ultimate goal is to provide an environment where prayer and care exist. We were not meant to live life alone.
Practically speaking, there will never be a way for the staff to personally minister to everyone who attends our church. That is why we place such a high premium on Prayer Teams. It is how we minister effectively at Temple.
